The Order of Announcements

Naturally you’re going to spread the good news of your engagement, but there is an etiquette to follow:

1. Mother and Father of the Bride traditionally get first dibs when it comes to people to call.
   
2. The groom's parents may already know he was planning to propose, but the next thing to do is to call them and let them know it's official!
   
3. Next up are both sets of grandparents, unless you want to task your Mom and Dad with getting to spread a little wedding cheer.
   
4. After that are your brothers and sisters--who come before best friends no matter what.
   
5. Now you can call all of your best friends!
   
6. Your boss should get a call, too.
   
7. After all of these people have been called, feel free to post it all over social media!
